24 in Twenty-10 Scripture Memory: Verse #24

Merry Christmas, sweet friends!

If you are reading this and you have come to then end of the “24 in Twenty-10 Scripture Memory Challenge” then I’m sending out a big CONGRATULATIONS to you!  Well done, girls!!  It has not been easy, but sooo worth the effort as you’ve  no doubt seen the beautiful fruit that memorizing Scripture has produced in you.  I hope and pray that this challenge has become a new habit for each of you and that you will continue the practice of storing up God’s treasured Word in your hearts.

My final Scripture for the year is another of my all-time favorites from Philippians 3:12-14…

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.  Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the price for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14

A word we can all use as we head into the New Year- reflecting on the past year with its highlights and lowlights, but not dwelling there.  Learn from the experiences in the year gone by, make the necessary changes, forgive, love and heal where you need to… and then move ahead… pressing on with your eyes and heart firmly fixed on Christ.  He is so worth it!

Jesus… “Yahweh Saves”!  His name is His mission!

I pray that each of you have the most wonderful Christmas and that you will take time to be still and to know your Emanuel, your Savior, your Jesus, the Lord God Almighty who was, and is, and is to come.

Pressing on in His unfailing love,

xo – P
