A Sad Farewell…

Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Shelly Musselman, co-owner of 4510 boutique and T-Room in Dallas, and member of our community.  Shelly passed away Tuesday after suffering a brain aneurysm during a ski trip in Aspen with her husband, Jim.

4510 is known for its beautiful clothing and home furnishings, and highly regarded in the fashion industry.  And though I was not a frequent shopper at the 4510 Boutique, I loved walking through the beautiful store on my way back to the 4510 T-Room, my favorite place to have a fun lunch with friends.  It holds a special place in my heart as it was THE first stop I’d make with friends after leaving Baylor Hospital for my chemo treatments in 2009.  I looked forward to celebrating there after each round; the surroundings were a comfort to me; the food… was the only food I could tolerate at the moment.   And so often, beautiful Shelly would make her way through. She leaves behind her husband and sons Jace, Matt and Will, her father, and a slew of friends from around the country and the world.

Shelly will be dearly missed as she was deeply loved.

Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom.
