What do you call legalizing the killing of unborn
What do you call legalizing the killing of unborn children at any stage of gestation? A matter of convenience? A personal choice? Immaterial because it’s just a clump of cells and not a human being? A right to do with your body as you please?

This is exactly how sin progresses: first we say it’s wrong, but as it becomes more prevalent and popular, the culture begins to accept it, normalize it, and justify it; then we embrace it, and call it right and good; and finally, we celebrate it. This is what happened yesterday in Massachusetts as the governor signs a bill legalizing abortion up to birth while ignorant fools stand behind her, clasping their hands with joy, smiling, applauding, cheering… celebrating the murder of babies. Woe to you who call evil good. And this is evil, and evil always leads to death.

Christians, stop shying away and shrugging this off as too political. It’s evil. Know it, believe it, and say it. If not, rethink what you’re calling yourself.

It’s a bittersweet day. As I celebrate the 250th birthday of our great country, I do so with a heavy heart, remembering one year ago on the 4th of July the tragic flood of the Guadalupe River that took the lives of hundreds of people, including these 27 precious angels from Camp Mystic. Several of these girls are our neighbors from the small community of the Park Cities where I live. Our community remembers this day with a deep ache as we continue to pray for the families whose shattered hearts are still grieving the deaths of their beloved baby girls.

This evening, at 6:25 PM, four United States Air Force fighter jets are scheduled to conduct a ceremonial flyover above Highland Park. Certainly not to mitigate what happened, but to say that it was important, it mattered deeply, and we remember your great loss.

Will you please join me in praying for those families today— who are most likely reliving every moment of a year ago.

P♥️

Let’s start this year with a beautiful beginning by choosing to step away from the noise of social media for a while so that we can re-tune our ears to hear the beautiful voice of Jesus. Scroll through the post above and see why it matters. It takes intentional listening; but the choice is ours. Stepping away from social media for a little while—only until the end of January—will not cost you anything. You will not lose anything. Oh, but my friend you will gain so very much when you take the time to re-tune the ears of your heart to hear the voice of your Good Shepherd who calls to you. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me…” John 10:27.
Are you ready to do this with me? Buckle up! Here we go! I love you dearly! P♥️
