April’s Recap: God Wastes Nothing

Hey there, friends!

This certainly has been an April we’ll all remember for the rest of our lives. But I wonder just how will you and I will remember it?

The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 has happened to all of us, impacting everyone on the planet in some way. The loss of lives and livelihoods has been devastating and grieves me, and I’m wondering how we will recover. Only God knows. Yet while this thing has happened on some level to each one of us, it’s also happened for each one of us, personally. What I mean by that is that God has a purpose in it for each of us— because he wastes nothing. It’s all about the way you look at it, and the One you’re looking to.

What has God shown you in this time? What has he done in your life, in your heart, and in your relationships? More importantly— has this season been a time of drawing nearer to him, cultivating deep roots of faith and trust, talking to him and following your Good Shepherd in ways you’ve never gone before? I hope so. I pray so for all of us that we will not waste our “now”… that we will continue to seek the Lord and follow him deeper still. Because our “now” is preparing us for “when.”

So, how will you remember this time? One year from now, what will we remember and what will we be talking about then? Will we choose to forget it and move on? Or will we choose to remember, to look for and to “see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” as long as we live?

I love y’all and it’s an absolute joy to follow Jesus with each of you, walking this road together and becoming better together as we do.

Don’t forget that you are greatly and dearly loved by the King!
