Breathing Room – Day 17

Psalm 145:17 (NLT)

The Lord is righteous in everything he does;
    he is filled with kindness.

We either believe God, or we don’t.

We either believe that he is righteous (right) and just all the time, or we don’t.

We either believe that he is filled with kindness, or we don’t.

We either believe that he is good all the time, or we don’t.

We either believe that he loves us all the time, or we don’t.

We either believe that he is faithful all the time, or we don’t.

And if we don’t believe him— it’s likely we don’t know him; we don’t know his character, his personality. Because right, just, kind, good, love… are not merely things that God does; right, just, kind, good, compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love is Who God *is* (see Exodus 34:6; Psalm 103:8).

We either believe that God is who he says he is, or we don’t. And if we don’t, it’s because we’ve never really stepped out and taken God at his word; trusted him by doing what he says to do, and discovering who he is by *experiencing* his faithfulness in our everyday life.

You see, we’ll never love whom we do not know. And we’ll never know God apart from reading his Word and doing his Word.

So, today, read your Bible. Ask God to show you who he is— some aspect of his character, and then step out and trust him to work in an area of your life where you need him right now. Just take the first little step of faith… believe and watch what he does. Jesus excels at taking our little bit… our little bit of faith, and multiplying it into mountain moving impossibilities.

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20.

I love y’all!
