12 Jan Do what God has called you to do
Just because somebody else is doing something doesn’t mean you can’t do it.
For example, there are a lot of people out there who are great Bible teachers. (If you’re new here, you may not know that I happen to be a Bible teacher.) Now, I may not be teaching the Bible on the level that some other people are, but I’ve got to do what God has called me to do with the gifting he’s given me and to the group that he’s given me to serve. (That group is you.)
So, I could look around and get discouraged and think, “Well, they’re already doing that, so… I can’t do that.”
NO. NO. NO!
I’m going to do what God has called me to do.
And I’m going to encourage you do what God’s called you to do. Play to an audience of One and let God smile on you with his approval because you’ve done it. You’ve done it for him. He will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” He’s not going to measure you according to the standard of anyone else. So don’t you.
The Bible even says, when we start measuring ourselves and comparing ourselves to one another, it’s just not wise. So, if we’re gonna make the most of every opportunity in 2022, we’ve got to do it wisely.
