11 Feb No Higher Calling

The first call on your life is as God’s child. It’s actually a “right” and a privilege he gives to us when we place faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (John 1:12). And then he calls to us to surrender to him daily, to put our trust in him, and follow him (Matthew 4:19) and let our lives reflect and reveal him to the world around us.⠀

That’s what children do; they follow their Father; they do him proud! And we, as spiritual daughters and sons, learn from our Heavenly Father as we follow his Word and his Son (Matthew 11:29)… learning how to live, and learning what he wants us to do for him.⠀

So here’s the deal— you and I can’t do anything apart from following Jesus… daily. We can’t do the work of Jesus without Jesus; no other calling takes precedence; and no other calling will succeed for his glory without him.⠀

God’s children do things God’s way, for God’s glory… to make him proud!

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”
