Hear The Gospel Daily

Remember, remember, remember. This word appears 36 times in the New Testament (130 in the Old Testament, NIV).

Why would God tell us so many times to remember? Because he knows how easily we forget.

That’s why it’s so important to spend DAILY time in God’s Word. It’s not a legalistic, rule-following, so-you-can-check-it-off-your-list kind of daily habit. That’s missing the whole point! It’s so you can build intimacy with Jesus. Intimacy takes time… just like when you’re dating someone or building a new friendship… it takes time, frequency, and proximity to help that relationship grow and flourish.

When you know that you belong to God through a relationship with his Son, Jesus Christ, it changes everything. Our true identity, our self-worth, our worldview and our work are only rightly defined according to God’s truth. When we understand and apply his truths to our life the desires of our heart will begin to beat in tune with his— motivating us to follow his way, resulting in living the best life, the abundant life (John 10:10)…the life that he designed.

AND… when we’re in tune with God— living for him by following Jesus, we become more tuned out to the the “look at me” culture and more tuned in to the ways and rhythms of the life he created for us to live. The good life. The best life.

So that’s what this is about. Remember, remember, remember to spend time with Jesus in prayer and in reading the Bible. Don’t worry if you’ve missed a day or two – just use the “catch up” days that are built into this plan! Start where you are. Don’t give up. And, if you haven’t joined us yet – you still can! Tell me how it’s going for you! What are you learning? What are you struggling with (if anything) in your daily reading? I’d love to pray for you!

I love y’all!⠀⠀
